Every second year IEEE Israel Section organizes a major convention
that reflects academic and industrial achievements in Electrical,
Electronics and computer Engineering. Practitioners and scientists
can use this opportunity for interchanging information on the latest
developments.
In 2010 IEEE Israel Section will appreciate a wide participation of
professionals from Israel
and abroad.
Accepted papers that will be presented at the conference will be
published on the web in IEEE Xplore.

The LHC collider and the search for
the God Particle
Over 5000 physicists analyze proton
collisions that take place (while you are reading this line) in the
biggest accelerator the world has ever known, the LHC, located in a 27km
underground tunnel around Geneva. This project is one of the most
ambitious scientific projects in the history of mankind.
They all do it in search of the holy
grail of Particle Physics, the Higgs particle (also called "the
God Particle") which acquires mass to all known particles in
nature and enables our existence.
I will try to tell the story of this
search in a nut shell....
