MALCA

Mutually Aligned Color Anaglyphs

Work in progress by Ianir Ideses

Abstract.

Mutually aligned color anaglyphs is a new method for generating high quality 3D images.

The MALCA algorithm is based on automatic shifting of the color components of a color anaglyph.

Shifting of the color components is accomplished by using localization algorithms to determine shift between the stereoscopic image pair.

This algorithm can be extended to synthesis of stereoscopic video from two sources or, in special cases, a single video stream.

In addition, further reaserach has been made in the field of compression and efficient stereoscopic video synthesis.

Examples:

Enhanced Anaglyphs

Stereoscopic video
