On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to participate at the 14th Israel Materials Engineering Conference (IMEC-14), to be held at Tel-Aviv University on December 13-14, 2009. This internationally recognized conference is the central conference of the materials community in Israel. It brings together academia, research institutes, industry, investors, non-government organizations and government representatives to exchange information, consolidate joint research programs and discuss commercial endeavors and future opportunities.

The 14th Israel Materials Engineering Conference will be held at Tel-Aviv University, a public research university. This is the largest university in Israel and the biggest Jewish university in the world. The original 170-acre campus has been expanded to include an additional 50-acre tract, now being developed. The university is located in Israel's cultural, financial and industrial heartland, close to the seashore of Tel-Aviv-Yafo
