The 14th Israel Materials Engineering Conference will be held at Tel-Aviv University, a public research university. This is the largest university in Israel and the biggest Jewish university in the world. The original 170-acre campus has been expanded to include an additional 50-acre tract, now being developed. The university is located in Israel's cultural, financial and industrial heartland, close to the seashore of Tel-Aviv-Yafo. A map of the campus can be found here or here.
The plenary lectures, companies' exhibition, posters session, coffee breaks and some of the parallel sessions will be held in the Smolarz Auditorium. This auditorium, coated with aluminum alloy, was designed by the Israel Prize laureate, architect Avraham Yaski. The Smolarz Auditorium is adjacent to Gate 4 (Ramniceanu) of the university. Most of the parallel sessions will be held in the Engineering Studies – Classrooms building. This building can easily be accessed from gates 4, 14 and 17.
By car:
If you are coming via Ayalon Highway North, leave the highway at Rokach Ave., uphill towards Tel-Aviv University. At the first traffic circle turn left, and then take the first turn right to Dr. George Wise St. The Smolarz Auditorium (Gate 4) is visible on your right, at the end of the street. If you are coming via Ayalon Highway South, leave the highway at Rokach Ave., turn left at the traffic light, and immediately right - uphill towards the university. At the first traffic circle turn left, and then take the first turn right to Dr. George Wise St. The Smolarz Auditorium (Gate 4) is visible on your right, at the end of the street. Parking lot is available near the Smolarz Auditorium. If you are coming via the Namir Road, from North, turn left to the Einstein Ave., then turn right to Haim Levanon St., and next turn left to Dr. George Wise St. If you are coming via the Namir Road, from South, turn right to Haim Levanon St., and at the second traffic light turn right to Dr. George Wise St. You may also enter the university via Gates 14 or 17. In this case, after leaving the Ayalon Highway and driving uphill, keep to the right while passing the first traffic circle.
Parking:
Please note that the University does not allow car entrance to conference participants. For those entering via Gate 4: The Smolarz underground parking lot can accumulate 650 cars. In vicinity, there are also external parking lots. For those entering via Gates 14 or 17: After passing the traffic circle, there is an entrance to a first parking lot on the left, ca. 200 m. after the circle. This parking lot is adjacent to Gate 17. You may drive further to a second traffic circle, which is placed near Gate 14. A public parking lot is on your right.

By train:
