Congrats to Prof Noam Eliaz for being nominated as Vice-Chair of NACE International's TEG 186X committee on Environmentally Assisted Cracking (2010–2012). He will subsequently serve as Chair of this committee in 2012–2014. NACE International is the world’s largest corrosion organization, comprising over 22,000 members in more than 110 countries. The TEG 186X committee currently comprises 104 members from 21 countries.

Congratulations to Mor Kaspi (a PhD student) and Dr Tal Raviv from the Department of Industrial Engineering for winning the first prize in the problem solving competition of INFORMS. More than 30 teams from some distinguished institutes took part in this competition. Details in the link below
