I am pleased to inform you that Mr. Yan Kaganovsky, a PhD student under my supervision, won the first prize in the "Young Scientist Best Paper Award Competition" in the 20th International Symposium on Electromagnetic Theory, Berlin, August 16-19, 2010.
The paper title is: "Wave Analysis of Airy Beams"

Dear all
I am pleased to inform you that Dr Ofer Shai has received the A.T. Yang Memorial Award for the best paper presented at the Mechanisms and Robotics Conference. This conference is a part of the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) conference, that took place in Montreal, Canada, August 15-18, 2010. The title of Ofer's paper is "Topological Synthesis of All 2D Mechanisms through Assur Graphs."
This is the second time that Ofer receives this award. The first time was in 2005 for a paper that was written jointly with Prof. Pennock.

We are proud to inform you that a paper "Parametric excitation of flexural vibrations in micro beams by fringing electrostatic fields"
by Slava Krylov, Nicola Molinazzi, Tsvi Shmilovich, Uri Pomerantz and Stella Lulinsky, won the best paper award at the 4th International Conference on Micro- and Nanosystems. This conference is part of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers
(ASME) Design Engineering Technical Conferences & Computers and Information in Engineering Conference (IDETC/CIE 2010), taking place in Montreal, Canada, August 15-18, 2010.

ברכות לאלכסנדר זדורוז'ני, סטודנט לתואר שלישי בהנחיה משותפת של פרופ' גיא אבן ופרופ' אדם שוורץ על זכייתו בפרס "מחרז" של איל"ב
הוועדה לבחירת הזוכה בפרס מחרז שמונתה ע"י נשיאת איל"ב (בהרכב פרופ' אבישי מנדלבאום (יו"ר), דר' משה אבן-חיים וד"ר' טל רביב) החליטה כי הפרס השנה יוענק במשותף לשתי עבודות, כדלקמן:
1. על עבודת המסטר שנכתבה ע"י דן ימין בהנחיית דר' אריה גביוס
“Self Interest vs. Group Interest in Influenza Virus Vaccination Policy”
2. על עבודה שפורסמה ב – MOR כחלק מעבודת הדוקטורט
"A Strongly Polynomial Algorithm for Controlled Queues"
שנכתבה ע"י אלכסנדר זדורוז'ני בשתוף עם דר' גיא אבן ופרופ' אדם שוורץ. |
