Research
interests

My current research interests are related
to the field of optical communications. In particular I am interested in
phenomena related to the propagation of light in optical fibers such as
polarization mode dispersion, chromatic dispersion and polarization dependent
loss. My research is focused on understanding these degradation mechanisms and
developing methods for their characterization and mitigation. Other areas of
interest and experience include design of dynamical and passive filters for
optical communication, fiber optic lasers and fiber optic sensors. |
