Weekly lectures: Monday 16:00 - 18:00, Wolfson 009   
COURSE OBJECTIVES:

General computer vision algorithms with particular application to medical imagery. Segmentation, registration, deformable models, 3D processing, and more.

COURSE TOPICS:

• Introduction to medical image processing and analysis
• Image segmentation
• Deformable models in medical image analysis
• Morphological methods for biomedical image analysis
• Image registration
• Multimodal data analysis
• Image measurement and meaning
• Variety of application domains: tissue characterization, angiography (QCA), brain image analysis, etc.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

• 25%    HWs
• 25%    Project

 Each student selects a topic from a list of topics covered in the course

 Responsible for:

 – Conducting a thorough literature search

 – Critically summarizing 2-3 articles

 – Giving a seminar in class (30 minutes)

• 50%    Final Exam
