Abstract Some solid-state microwave devices are approaching
a stage of development which makes it appropriate to contemplate their use in
other than only low-power applications.
In this paper, the more important of these devices are described and
the problems associated with improving their power-frequency performance are
discussed. The microwave power
available from solid-state sources can be increased significantly by
combining the output powers of several devices; techniques for accomplishing
this are discussed the concluding section. |
