Abstract Specimens of Douglas fir veneer, dried in microwave and conventional systems, have been examined by electron microscopy, using direct carbon replica and ultra-thin section preparation techniques. Electron micrographs are presented which indicate that there is no damage to cell walls in veneer dried by microwaves. |
