Abstract Three radio-frequency techniques for measuring water levels in narrow-diameter piezometers are briefly described. Preliminary feasibility studies indicate that one of these techniques is reasonably satisfactory and could be developed further for measuring water levels of lakes, rivers, dams, water wells, and reservoirs.
