Abstract

A high-power circulator at 915 MHz has been developed. This three-port waveguide circulator has a power handling capability of 30 kW CW and an insertion loss of 0.1 dB. The high-power circulator is useful for protecting high-power microwave sources from reflected power. A high-power microwave system describing the design of the circulator, and giving the results of preliminary experiments in breaking concrete and rock are presented.
