Abstract Strengths of the magnetic and electric fields around two induction heating stoves were measured at the frequencies of operation of the devices, i.e., in the tens of kilohertz range and at the power line frequency and its harmonics. The measurements were performed for various cast iron and stainless steel cookware. Exposure levels of users of the stoves were compared with existing recommendations for human radiofrequency exposure limits and exposures produced 'by other home appliances.
