Abstract The authors present a
system of classification for electroheat processes
wherein heat is generated within a material by interaction with an
electromagnetic field at frequencies below several GHz. it is suggested that the
processes may be classified according to the simplest form of Maxwell's
equations that govern the particular process. The recommended terminology is
as close to current usage as possible in order to minimize the changes
