Abstract

Spherical composites of Fe203 and carbon were heated with microwave power (2.45 GHz) and their heating rate was studied.  For control purposes, the heating rate of spherical, non-reacting agglomerate of Al203 was also studied.  The results have shown that the mathematical model, proposed in this paper, well describes the principal feature of heating these solids by microwave energy.
