Abstract

Correlation of an analytical signal to a particular analyte is critically tied to impedance matching in the microwave induced plasma (MIP). The following research uses improved matching techniques to extend the optimum power and flow rate ranges of the MIP and increase the maximum analytical signal by 250%.
