Abstract As a consequence of the
Bergman-Milton theory, which expresses the effective permittivity of a two phase
mixture with an integral form of a density function, it has been possible to
evaluate the local electrical field strength in a heterogeneous mixture. The
formulae can be used in a better way for modelling the local temperature
inside a ceramic during microwave sintering. Key Words: Electromagnetic fields,
