Abstract The results of the loading
effects analysis of the cylindrical microwave cavities with rectangular,
circular and elliptical cross-sections are presented in this paper. The load
in the form of the homogeneous lossy dielectric
slab is considered. The numerical results presented illustrate the complex
resonant frequency dependence on the relative dielectric constant,
cross-section shape, thickness and location of the load. Key Words: Resonant cavity, Loading
