Abstract Microwave heating was applied
to the drying and curing of latex backing on carpet. An experimental procedure
was used to investigate microwave drying times and product quality as
compared to conventional hot air drying. The results indicate that with
proper power setting of the microwave heater, drying times may be
substantially reduced for a wide range of carpet types with no resultant loss
of product quality. |
