Abstract

The influence of 2450 MHz microwave radiation, pulsed at 8KHz, on the number of infections of Escherichia coli B by phage T4  was examined. Low level radiation at a power density of between 1 and l0 mW cm² was employed, the biological samples being irradiated in S-band waveguide. The results indicated that this pattern of radiation did not have a statistically significant effect on the number of infections.
