Academic Activities

Served as elected member of the Faculty Appointment, Promotion and Tenure (APT) Committee.
• Served on many university, faculty and department ad-hoc and regular committees including:
Head of the department curriculum committee;
Faculty computer committee;
Head of the special task for incorporating management minor in graduate engineering curriculum;
Ph.D. Faculty committee;
University wide computer resource special task force;
• First chairman of the Schecterman grant committee;
Started the Ph.D. Program in the department and supervised the first ten Ph.D. students in the department.
