1. Introduction: Electromagnetic (EM) waves in nature; Examples of using EM theory in biomedicine; EM spectrum; History of EMs in biomedicine; Vector analysis – reminder (vector operations, gradient, divergence, curl, divergence theorem, Stokes theorem, null identities)..

2. Electrostatics: Electric force, field, potential; Column, Gauss, Lorentz, and Kirchhoff voltage laws; Dialectic materials; Capacitance; Poisson and Laplace equation; Boundary conditions; Electrocstatic fields in biomedicine.

3. Magnetostatics: Magnetic force, field and moment; Magnetic dipole; Biot–Savart, Faraday and Ampere laws; Magnetic materials; Inductance.

4.  Time-varying fields: Maxwell equations in free space and in materials; Boundary contidions; Plane waves; Polarizations; Reflectance and transmission of plane waves.

5. Transmission lines: Dispersion; ideal transmission line; wave guides; optical fibers. Examples in biomedicine.
