Short Professional Biography
Professor Shlomo Ruschin received his B.Sc. degree in Physics and Mathematics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, in 1969. In 1973 and 1977 he received his M.Sc. and D.Sc. degrees in Physics from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel. Between 1978 and 1980 he was a Research Associate at the Technion, and at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. During the summers of 1983, 1984 and 1985 he was a Visiting Scientist at Cornell University, and during the year 1977-1988 he was Visiting Scientist in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, San Diego, USA. In 1989, 1990 and 1993 he was Visiting Scientist for short periods at the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research (RIKEN) in Saitama, Japan. In 1980 Prof. Ruschin joined the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering - Physical Electronics. Since June, 1995 Prof. Ruschin is Chairman of the Department at Tel-Aviv University.
