"A perfectly debugged software is one that has an MTBF that is higher than the OS it runs on"

Current Research

I am a PhD student at Tel-Aviv University. My advisor is Prof. Yuval Shavitt. I am currently doing Complex Networks study, focusing on the Internet topology (NetDIMES networking group) and Clustering and Recommendation in P2P Networks.

Teaching

Basic Electronics, 2008-2009
Lecturing about amplifiers, diodes, transistors etc.

Projects guide, Winter 2007-2008
I am guiding students in their final project, required to complete their undergraduate studies. Projects involve different analysis and mapping of data resulting from DIMES measurements. These projects using cutting-edge software technologies, including Java, Ajax, Mapplets, Servlets and more.

Advanced Lab in Micro-Computers, Spring 2007
The Advanced Lab in Micro-Computers course is for last year undergraduate students. The course gives basic knowledge in micro-computers architecture, focusing on cache structure, branch predictors and various optimizations. The course uses the SimOutOrder, CACTI and WATTCH simulators.

Work

Security and Embedded Systems Engineer (December 2006 - Present)
I'm a freelance consultant, specialized in security protocols, embedded software and system engineering. Consulting also spans to projects management, software design and team leading.

A military service at the Computers and Communication Task Force (March 2001- December 2006).
I was a team leader, projects manager and system engineer, responsible for developing security related networking and telecommunication devices. I was responsible for several IP projects, an E1, HDLC and V.35 device and some RF mobile devices. I was also integrating various security aspects into new and existing systems.

Instructor at the Technion's Software Systems Lab (May 2000- March 2001)
I have initiated and instructed several software projects on NT and WinCE under the supervision of Dr. Ilana David.

Software Engineer at Actona (May 2000 - Match 2001)
I have designed and implemented a java based storage subsystem for the company's product. The company was once VersEdge, then changed name to Actona, and has finally been acquired by Cisco.

Software Engineer at IBM Haifa Research Labs (January 1999 - May 2000)
I have developed a cooperative file system that enable clients to exploit each others' file caches to reduce load on an origin file server. I also designed and implemented the file system's GUI managment console.
