2. Filtering NMR image
Local adaptive RDCT filtering noise suppression capability
is compared, ona real NMR image, with that of a median filter and local LLMSE
filter implemented in Matlab ( "adaptive Wiener filter ").
Fig. 3 illustrates filtering results. From diference (between input and
output) images (Delta) one can see that RDCT filtering provides images of better quality
and better preserves image details. RDCT filtering is also advantageous in terms of
computation time.
