Books written by my family members – only a partial list

1. My great, great, …. Great, father, Jacob Margalit [Margolioth], *Sidur* *Gitin*, edited by his son, Isaac Margalit, (whose grave in Prague is shown below).		1. ר' יעקב מרגלית (אחד מאבות אבותיי, לפני 15 דורות), סידור גיטין. ע"פ מקורות מוצלבים רבים, ר' יעקב מרגלית , נולד בערך ב- 1390, נפטר בערך בין 1499 ל- 1512 – חי כנראה מספר לא יאמן של שנים בתקופה ההיא - כמעט 120 שנה - על פני 3 מאות. כיהן כרב בלוקא באיטליה (זה החלק המעט בעייתי בביוגרפיה), ואח"כ היגר לאשכנז ושימש כרב ואב בית הדין של אוגסבורג, וירצבורג, ומגנצא. בהמשך היה אב"ד של נירנברג. בגרוש נירנברג בשנת 1499 גורש גם הוא ועבר להיות רב ברגנסבורג. הספר נערך ע"י בנו ר' יצחק מרגלית אב בית הדין בפראג (קברו בפראג נראה בתמונות המקושרות). עריכת הספר היתה בשנים 1506-1515, כשיצחק עובר מהעיר רגנסבורג בגרמניה לפראג. גרסה חדשה של הספר. הגרסה הוכנה בעזרת 3 עותקים שונים של הספר.
Moses Mordecai Margolioth (his grave in Cracow is shown below).		2. ר' משה מרדכי מרגליות (נכד של נכד של ר' יעקב מרגליות), חסדי ה' 1589. נולד ב- 1550 והיה לראש הישיבה בקרקוב ב- 1580. נפטר ב- 1616. מתוקף תפקידו היה חבר גם בוועד ארבע ארצות שהיה בשנים 1520-1764, המוסד המרכזי העליון של יהדות פולין.

2. My great grandfather, Yoseph, Haim David Reich, *Arbaim* *Lebina*. No copy is available. Probably destroyed at the holocaust.		5. יוסף חיים דוד רייך (סבו של אבי), ארבעים לבינה, לא נמצא עותק. כנראה הושמד בשואה עם עוד כתבי יד אחרים שהיו מוכנים לדפוס ולא שרדו את השואה. מצבת קברו נראית בהמשך.

Pictures of some of my ancestors tombs

1. The tomb of Isaac Margalit [Margaliot] (died in 1525) at the Jewish cemetery in Prague. This tomb is among those which were preserved best in the whole cemetery.

Isaac Margalit is one of my great, great, great ... fathers, 14 generation before me. He was the chief rabbinical court at Prague (i.e., Chief Rabi of Prague).

2. General view of the Jewish cemetery in Prague. The tomb is exactly at the center of the picture, the third to the left from the big tree.

3. New picture taken on April 25, 2008. The big tree above has gone but the stones are still there.

4. The tomb of Moses Mordecai Margolioth (1550-1616). Chief Yeshiva in Cracow from 1580.
