Prof. Irad E. Ben-Gal

Professor Irad Ben-Gal (PhD) is the head of the Laboratory for AI, Machine learning, Business and Data Analytics (LAMBDA) at Tel Aviv University. He is a world-renowned expert in Data Science, AI  and Machine learning with more than 25 years of academic and practical experience in those fields, including R&D collaborations with companies such as Oracle, Intel, GM, AT&T, Applied Materials, Siemens, Kimberly Clark and Nokia. He wrote four books, published more than 150 scientific papers and patents, supervised dozens of graduate students and received numerous awards for his work. Irad held a visiting professor position at Stanford University and co-heads the TAU/Stanford University “Digital Living 2030” research initiative that focuses on future challenges of modern digital life.  He co-founded CB4 (“See Before”), a startup company backed by Sequoia Capital that provides granular predictive analytics solutions (Acq. by GAP). He is an advisory board member in several startup companies that focus on AI applications.
