Dr. Ksawery Kalinowski, PhD Physics (Alumni, 2015-2016)

.
Postdoctorate Associate
.
Dr. Ksawery Kalinowski was currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Tel Aviv University. In 2006, he obtained his MSc in Engineering, in Solid Sate Physics, at the Warsaw University of Technology, Poland. During his master degree, he gained broad knowledge in epitaxial growth of III-V heterostructure, such as quantum cascade lasers, avalanche photo-detectors or hetrostructures for vertical-external-cavity surface-emitting lasers. In 2013, Ksawery obtained PhD degree in Physics, in the field of Nonlinear Optics from the Australian National University, Canberra. During his doctoral studies, he investigated several nonlinear scattering mechanisms in random and ordered nonlinear photonic crystals. Between 2013 and 2015, he was granted the Postdoctoral Fellowship of Tel Aviv University Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Center, and performed research in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Physical Electronics, at the Nonlinear Optics Laboratory of Prof. Adi Arie. In February 2015, he joined the OMNI Group as the Postdoctoral Fellow. Currently, he is involved in interferometric spectroscopy inspection of in-situ thin-film growth and biological-cell metrology.
