Dr. Gyanendra Singh, PhD Physics (Alumni 2016-2018)

Postdoctoral Associate
Dr. Gyanedra Singh was Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Tel Aviv University, starting from September 2016. He completed his BSc and MSc in Physics from University of Delhi, India. He also completed his M.Tech. in Applied Optics from IIT Delhi, India, in 2009. He received his PhD degree in 2015, from the Instrumentation Design and Development Center at IIT Delhi, India. During his PhD, he characterized the indium tin coated polyethylene terephthalate substrate, which is used for the fabrication of the flexible electronics and display devices. In this study, he measured the change in the birefringence and the polarimetric study of this substrate using  interferometry and a fringe analysis method. The spectral study of the substrate was also carried out. In addition, he developed a remote phosphor-based flexible substrate for converting the blue inorganic light into white light for general lighting and display. He is the co-author of 13 refereed journal papers and 13 conference papers.
